We are thrilled to share that The Lighthouse Memory Care of Des Moines is officially introducing a groundbreaking care model to the region. As the first licensed Residential Care Facility (RCF) built specifically for individuals living with dementia in the Des Moines metro area, we are proud to offer a unique and specialized environment for our residents.
Following an extensive renovation project that began in the fall of 2025, our nearly 9,000-square-foot boutique-style facility is now fully secured and ADA-compliant. The property features open, spacious communal areas, 11 private bedrooms, 14 bathrooms, and a new elevator connecting all three levels. To enhance the daily experience of our residents, we have also included an on-site hair salon and a dedicated classroom for community and clinical partnerships.
We place a strong emphasis on secure freedom and the outdoors. Our property includes over an acre of entirely enclosed backyard space that has been transformed into a park, complete with walking paths, outdoor dining areas, and a stage for concerts and events.
We poured our heart and soul into this project, creating The Lighthouse Memory Care with our own loved one in mind. Now, we are ready to provide that same dedicated care to yours.
